We have clients in both private & public healthcare sectors.
We have supervised extensive reinforced concrete repair work at a landmark London hospital and advised on countless smaller projects at the site, including the replacement of the primary boilers.
We have designed two new-build NHS hospitals in Surrey. We have designed structural elements for the re-development of existing hospitals in the private sector.
Past projects include a new-build community hospital and new-build residential care home.
A substantial portion of our work is on residential properties. We have been the structural design engineers for a great many one-off new-build houses, mostly in Surrey and Hertfordshire. We have also designed the structural elements for substantial refurbishment projects in London, often including new basements.
We have recently designed mixed commercial and residential developments in Hersham and Hoddesdon where multiple flats are built above retail space.
We also design structural elements for alterations and extensions to existing houses.
If you are buying a house and have had a structural concern flagged-up in your Homebuyer Survey, we can visit the house and report.
We prepare structural calculations and drawings for superstructure and substructure works, either for new-build or for alterations. We typically work with load-bearing masonry, steel or concrete framed superstructures and cast-insitu basements where required.
We have a wide experience of domestic structures and are familiar with typical structural arrangements in traditional houses, including those in London.
We carry out structural reports required during house purchases, for example in the case that a Homebuyer Survey or lender's valuation has highlighted an aspect that needs a report from a Chartered Structural Engineer.
We are a firm of consulting Structural Engineers established in 1966.
Our work, having been predominantly multi-storey office developments during the first three decades of the practice, now comprises a broad mixture of commercial, light-industrial, health care and residential. The majority of our work in recent years has been the design of new-build houses or mixed residential and commercial developments. We also undertake structural design for alterations and extensions to existing houses and advise on alterations to commercial and industrial buildings.
